Table Name Details...

There are more ways to identify your reception tables than by simply using numbers. A creative way to arrange seating is to identify your tables differently, according to your preferences and your wedding theme. If you have a tropical themed wedding, your tables could be named after exotic locations, such as “Bora Bora” or “Fiji”. If you’re having a spring themed wedding, your tables could be indentified with various spring flowers or local trees. If your relatives come from another culture or country, you could use names or places related to your heritage to tie together your reception. Your guests will get a kick out of being placed at a table that’s got a little connection and tie to you personally rather than just another number. Think outside of the box and come up with something that suits you as a couple and represents your personalities and your wedding.

Your Engagement Story...

Your wedding day is the story of you as a couple. Share your whole story with your family and friends with a recap of your lives together along with your engagement story. Let your loved ones relive the moment with you with a special keepsake or arrangement at your wedding’s reception. You can share your engagement story in a number of ways: a photo on cardstock with your story on the back or as a postcard given as a keepsake, a video collage detailing your engagement story to share during your reception, or a series of photos and stories on easels for your guests to read as they enter your reception area. There are many ways to share the story of your love and how your step towards your future began by sharing your engagement story.

An Intimate Affair...

Surprise your wedding guests by providing them an intimate and welcoming setting for the dinner and reception. Offer a menu with comforting foods that you love and enjoy or foods that represent your combined heritages. Decorate your guests’ tables with candlesticks and simple centerpieces such as colorful table runners and bouquets of flowers. The reception should remind your guests of attending a dinner party that you would host in your own home, with a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Be sure to offer alternative foods for your guests who have special diet restrictions or needs by having vegetarian options if necessary.
